Meal Planning:

Over the past few weeks, I've been doing a lot of reading about meal planning especially with regard to saving money. Usually, we use the circulars that come on Wednesday to plan our grocery shopping for the week but, I just buy what is on sale and then decide what I make each night. Meal planning will certainly save me time during the school year because I will not have to think about what to make each night. We are starting by following Simple Mom's advice using a two week model. The next week looks like this:

8/13 Rosemary Turkey Meatloaf (*****)
8/14 Leftovers or dinner with my family
8/15 Quick Mediterranean Pasta (allrecipes.com)
8/16 Chicken and black bean casserole
8/17 Leftovers
8/18 Pulled pork
8/19 Leftovers or dinner with friends
8/20 Pasta primavera
8/21 Chickpea burgers or dinner with my family

Our meal plan for the week will be posted at http://orgjunkie.com/2011/08/menu-plan-monday-aug-1511.html and at StoneGable
