Our First Christmas/Cookie Party

The wife organized a cookie party last night, which turned into a mini-Christmas party. Along with the help of several friends near and dear to our hearts, she put together a wonderful evening, with various appetizers, hot and cold snacks, a pasta dinner and TONS of cookies.

Everyone who came to the party brought cookies to share with the group. We had everything from a traditional German cookie to thumbprint cookies to a creative cookie dough recipe from Paula Deen's cookbook. I would guess that we had at least ten varieties. Everyone seemed to have a good time chatting and listening to Christmas music, and it was a nice way to relax together before Christmas 2010 finally gets here.

I thought it was a lot of fun. Maybe we'll do this more often?
