This weekend we hit the three week mark! On Friday, I went to the dress place with Carolyn, Justine, Mom, Laura (Mom's friend), & Ellen (Mom's friend and Carolyn's Mom). It was definitely an interesting trip. The seamstress had some difficulty altering the dresses the last time we were there. There still had to be changes made to all three dresses before the wedding day. Everyone will go to pick up their dresses the week before the wedding beginning on the 10th. To ease the tension, Laura brought a HUGE bottle of Champagne to the dress fitting! She shared with the other girl who came to try on wedding dresses for the first time with her mom. She was so excited. There was lots of girlie giggling. After the dress fitting party, we headed down the road to Friday's to grab a bite to eat and share a few more laughs.
Saturday was the bachelorette party. Justine, Carolyn, Diane, and I started the day with massages at the Elizabeth Arden Spa. It was wonderful! The spa was beautiful! From there we headed to Mario's to grab a quick bite to eat before getting a manicure/pedicure at my favorite nail salon! Sara was able to join us! It was nice to be able to spend some time together without running around. After the manicure/pedicure, all of us boarded the LIRR and headed to Bourbon Street for dinner. It was a blast! The food was yummy! The atmosphere was great! The hurricanes were bountiful! Karen, Megan, Katie P., and Liz met us there to join in the fun. After dinner we headed across the street to Swing 46 for some swing dancing, dessert, drinks, and fun! It was a wonderful way to end the evening filled with many laughs. Sunday was Andrew and Christopher's graduation party at the house. Dave and I got to spend the day with family and friends celebrating their accomplishments. It was a lot of fun to be with everyone despite the 95 degree weather. While at the party Dave and I spoke with my cousins who have been married for 57 years. It was wonderful to see them talking with us about their marriage. As they spoke, they put their arms around each other and had the most wonderful smiles on their faces.
